OUR APPOINTMENT

At Dinsdale Medical Centre we operate by appointment only and our doctors do not see walk-in patients.

Our appointments are allocated for 15 minute intervals only, which is generally enough time to cover one major concern or a couple of minor concerns.

 

​If you require a longer consultation, please inform reception when booking your appointment.

The fee for extended, 30 minute consultations is $100 or $80 if you  have a Community Services Card.

​

Please call 07 847 8425 or stop in to our clinic at 21 Whatawhata Road, Dinsdale.

If there are no available appointments when you call, you can ask to be added to our cancellation list or to speak to a nurse.

 

 At Dinsdale Medical Centre we work hard to ensure that are patients are seen as quickly as possible. However, sometimes there may be a small wait due to

 unforeseen circumstances, which we apologies for. To help us keep on time, when booking your appointment, please inform reception:

  • How many people need to be seen

  • Which services you require

  • If you have a complex concern or more than one concern that requires an extended consultation

 

It is important that you arrive on time for your appointment.

If you are more than 10 minutes late to your appointment the doctor may be unable to see you and you may need to rebook your appointment.​

If you are calling us in regard to an emergency, please hang up and dial 111, or go to your nearest emergency centre.

WHEN ARRIVING AT OUR CLINICIF YOU HAVE AN URGENT CONCERN SUCH ASCHEST PAIN, DIFFICULTY BREATHING, OR BLEEDINGPLEASE INFORM  RECEPTION IMMEDIATELY

AFTER-HOURS CARE

​If you need treatment outside our opening hours, please phone our after-hours provider, Tui Medical 0800 175 175 or Healthline on 0800 611 116,

or click on the Practice Plus link below to arrange a virtual GP consultation from where you are using your computer or mobile device.

MISSED APPOINTMENTS

We try to see as many patients as we can each day, but we have a limited number of appointments available.  If you are no-longer able to attend an appointment that you have booked, you must give us at least 2 hours’ notice before the time your appointment was scheduled for.  If you miss your appointment and do not provide notice of this 2 hours before your appointment time you will be charged a non-attendance fee of $25.​

LABORATORY RESULTS

​

  You will only be notified of test results via phone/text/Manage My Health/ Email/ Mail If your results are abnormal, of concern or require further action to be taken.   

  We do not contact you if your results are NORMAL.

  If you still wish to be notified for NORMAL results, please advise our nurse.  

   Register for Manage My Health to access all your lab results online.
