Meet Our Newest Team Member

Physician Associate: Bella Lui Caster, PA-C

Physician Associates (PA's) are highly trained healthcare professionals who are a part of the medical team. They are able to extend the care of Physicians and improve access to quality medical care. They work with a degree of autonomy but their scope of practice is defined by their relationship with their supervising Physician.

PA's can obtain medical histories, perform examinations and procedures, diagnose illness, prescribe medications, order, and interpret tests, and refer patients to specialists as required.

Since PA's are in the early stages of registration in New Zealand, there will be a limitation to their scope of practice. All PA's providing medical care at Dinsdale Medical Centre are checked and signed off by a GP.

Our Appointments.

At Dinsdale Medical Centre we operate by appointment only and our doctors do not see walk-in patients. Our appointments are allocated for 15 minute intervals

only, which is generally enough time to cover one major concern or a couple of minor concerns.

If you require a longer consultation, please inform reception when booking your appointment. The fee for extended, 30 minute consultations is $100 or $80 if you

   have a Community Services Card.

At Dinsdale Medical Centre we pride ourselves in having good appointment availability where patients can often get an appointment on the same day they call, or

normally within only a 1-2 day wait. To book an appointment, please call 07 847 8425 or stop in to our clinic at 21 Whatawhata Road, Dinsdale. If there are no

available appointments when you call, you can ask to be added to our cancellation list or to speak to a nurse.

At Dinsdale Medical Centre we work hard to ensure that are patients are seen as quickly as possible. However, sometimes there may be a small wait due to

unforeseen circumstances, which we apologies for. To help us keep on time, when booking your appointment, please inform reception:

  • How many people need to be seen

  • Which services you require

  • If you have a complex concern or more than one concern that requires an extended consultation

It is important that you arrive on time for your appointment. If you are more than 10 minutes late to your appointment the doctor may be unable to see you and you

may need to rebook your appointment.

WHEN ARRIVING AT OUR CLINIC, IF YOU HAVE AN URGENT CONCERN SUCH AS CHEST PAIN, DIFFICULTY BREATHING, OR BLEEDING, PLEASE INFORM

   RECEPTION IMMEDIATELY

If you are calling us in regard to an emergency, please hang up and dial 111, or go to your nearest emergency centre.

Missed Appointments.

We try to see as many patients as we can each day, but we have a limited number of appointments available. If you are no-longer able to attend an appointment

that you have booked, you must give us at least 2 hours’ notice before the time your appointment was scheduled for.

If you miss your appointment and do not provide notice of this 2 hours before your appointment time you will be charged a non-attendance fee of $25.

Lab Results.
